I won’t see the new star wars movie. I have no interest in seeing the new star wars movie. And I wish everyone, would just shut the fuck up about the new star wars movie.
Also, I would totally rock a 71 Mercury Marquis.

THANK YOU.
I work at a movie theater and thankfully all of us avoid talking about it like its the goddamn plague.

I won’t be jumping on the bandwagon either.
I’d much rather have that Mark next to the Merc!

Well then, this is not the movie you are looking for. And my grandpa had a grand marquis (that tan one in the back ground), it was a sweet ride.

With you on this 100%. Never got into Star Wars when I was young, and now I don’t care. I love the look on peoples faces when you tell them “I have never really seen a Star Wars movie.”

Everyone is entitled to their opinions. But, you have got to understand that this series is pretty much the foundation of all modern movies. Plus, the sheer size of the fan base makes it probably the most important movie of the decade.

I understand your frustration, I don’t plan to see the movie either.
But at the same time, no one is forcing you to read those comments on Oppo, you can scroll right past them and ignore them.

Quite frankly, this is hell for me. Star wars bores me, I haven’t gotten more than 5 minutes in without passing out and now every Facebook profile picture looks like it has a glowing dildo in it.

The first one was very much a cultural moment, and this one is that moment for many of the children of those kids that experienced them in the theaters way back when.

I’m going to see it multiple times, and I love all the tie-ins and stuff in stores.

I wasn’t born when the original trilogy hi theatres. I did see the 1997 rerelease and it was glorious.

Fair enough, you can’t like everything, and just because something is popular doesn't mean it's necessarily worth your time either.
I just kept track of when it's coming out, but thanks to adblock as well as a general aversion to the outside world I haven't run into a lot of advertising for the movie.

My older brothers were the right age when the originals came out, so I had all the hand-me down toys and shirts (I played with a headless Han Solo for years). My oldest boy is the perfect age right now, and I’m not sure if he’s ever been more excited for anything in his whole life.

It's not the Oppo comments, really, no one on Oppo talks about it. It's just the sheer overexposure of it, ads, tie-ins, commercials, just plug after plug after plug. It's exhausting and repetitive to see it everywhere and to have everyone else talk about it like a big friggin deal.

If you’re letting it get to you, then the problem may not be the movie, rather it may be you’re fixating on it and you’re letting it irritate you, this all spoken from having done the exact same thing in the past.

First person that shares the same indifference towards Star Wars as I. Today is the first time I’ll see a complete movie, but only because I will see the new one tonight (Friends wanted me to go).
